What the clinic offers
Sperm laboratory
Where sperm testing is carried out, including via vaginal collection or a halachically approved condom, along with sperm preparation (“washing”) ahead of insemination treatment at the Gefen Clinic.
Ultrasound
The hospital’s ultrasound institute performs the various scans the clinic needs, including: follicle monitoring, hydrosonography (injecting fluid into the uterine cavity to assess whether the fallopian tubes are open), and 3D ultrasound to assess the shape of the uterus, fibroids, and more.
Uterine X-rays (HSG)
Used when there’s a need to assess whether the fallopian tubes are open, and/or for an intervention (via catheter).
Diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy
As part of a day-hospitalization stay, a hysteroscopy can be done either diagnostically — to assess the uterine cavity — or therapeutically, such as removing a septum or a polyp.
Social worker
For couples facing fertility difficulties, the struggle is also emotional. The Gefen Clinic has a dedicated social worker who focuses on fertility, there to ease the heavy emotional load that comes with this process. The support is for both partners, together or separately.
Dietitian
Accompanies women who need guidance in this area. Building a healthy-lifestyle plan matters a great deal during fertility treatment, since some fertility problems are linked to being significantly over- or underweight (both of which affect the menstrual cycle, egg quality, and the chances of pregnancy).
